How to Create Your Own Graphics Using Our Free Inkscape Tutorials

Jul 26, 2011 12:43 PM

For many people, using  graphics software for the first time can be a scary experience. There are lots of buttons and icons to press and it can be difficult to know where to start.

There are various instructions to be found on the Internet, but in our experience, very often it's difficult to understand the instruction from the written word, sometimes the video has no sound and when it does it can be difficult to clearly see the screen. Frustrating or what?

That is why we decided to create our own videos. We also decided to use the free graphics software called Inkscape. This software is used to create vector graphics. We have created 15 free videos and you can see the rest of them on Facebook if you are interested. Here's a link to Facebook.

Here's another example - creating a simple heart shape that can be used on your website, for craft projects or pretty much anything.

Here is the video link to the first video that takes you through the basic tools in the Inkscape dashboard.

We really hope that you enjoy this video and the subsequent 14.

If you do, then please share them with your friends. Inkscape is a fantastic tool - it's quite easy to use and can produce some quite fantastic graphics, so please do pass it on.
